About the Course:

    The course focuses on equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for efficient sugarcane production through procedural understanding of recommended agricultural practices including land preparation, planting, replanting, fertilization and irrigation management, cultivation and weed control techniques, and harvesting and post-harvest handling, as well as ratoon management. It also provides a thorough review of the comprehensive table listing of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) varieties and their agronomic traits. This course was developed through the program Smart Approaches to Reinvigorate Agriculture as an Industry (SARAI) Phase 2 Project 1.2 Phenology Studies, Crop Management, and Model Development for Sugarcane and Coconut.
