The training course is primarily designed to capacitate CMI’s in
preparing project proposals that are fit into PCAARRD’s existing extension
modalities. This will serve as a platform for researchers to improve their
technology transfer proposals before submitting to funding agencies. They will
also be able to learn lessons and share insights and experiences from invited
resource persons and fellow researchers. As a result, there is a higher
probability of having their proposals approved for funding.

The Patent Search and Invention Spotting is a training-workshop under the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division of the DOST-PCAARRD. It was conducted on May 29 to 31, 2018. In the training-workshop, the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IP Philippines) provided resource persons to discuss IP management, prior art search, documentation and claims interpretation, and invention spotting.
DOST-PCAARRD has been conducting non-degree training courses for its partners in the National Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Network (NAARRDN). The aim is to strengthen competencies of research managers, researchers, and scholars in the implementation and management of agriculture, aquatic and natural resources (AANR) R&D initiatives. This is done through the development and conduct of strategically identified enhancement courses, such as those on R&D management and technology-based trainings.
Through the years, PCAARRD has built a rich collection of training materials. Based on these, the Council developed this online training platform to maximize the utility of these materials while providing interested stakeholders the opportunity to take advantage and learn at their own pace too.
